"The traveler was active; he went strenuously in search of people, of adventure, of experience. The tourist is passive; he expects interesting things to happen to him." -Daniel J. Boorstin
Facing Asia chronicles 229 images captured over a 3-week period while visiting Southeast Asia. All photos were taken spontaneously as I freely explored each country, so I believe they fully and naturally capture a realistic perspective of each country and the people who live there. This site was specifically created for the presentation of the images I made and thoughts I had at that time. I have no agenda beyond the hope of accurately communicating my experience of visiting these places with you. Hopefully you will find something here that is interesting or special to you, just as I did during the time I spent visiting these countries.
